Foreword

The papers presented herein are abstracts and proceedings of a Symposium on Endometriosis held on October 1 1, 1975 at St. John's Hospital and Health Center, Santa Monica, California. They cover a broad spectrum of topics related to endometriosis, ranging from the history of medical thought on the subject through its etiology, diagnosis, aspects of treatment, and the pharmacology of hormones to treat it. Subsequent to the presentations, two panel discussions were held, with the respective moderators being Dr. J. J. Marik and Dr. Blake H. Watson.
